Ensemble equivalence for non-extensive thermostatistics

چکیده
We compute the internal energy of different Ising type models, both long–range and short–range, under Tsallis statistics using the microcanonical and the canonical ensembles and we discuss under which conditions both ensembles give equivalent results.

Thermostatistics of extensive and non–extensive systems using generalized entropies
We describe in detail two numerical simulation methods valid to study systems whose thermostatistics is described by generalized entropies, such as Tsallis. The methods are useful for applications to non-trivial interacting systems with a large number of degrees of freedom, and both short–range and long–range interactions. The first method is quite general and it is based on the numerical evalu...
متن کاملGeneralized thermostatistics and Kolmogorov-Nagumo averages
We introduce a generalized thermostatistics based on Kolmogorov-Nagumo averages and appropriately selected information measures. The formalism includes Tsallis non-extensive thermostatistics, but also extensive thermostatistics based on Rényi entropy. The Curie-Weiss model is discussed as an example.

PHYSICS Microcanonical Thermostatistics, the basis for a New Thermodynamics, " heat can flow from cold to hot " , and nuclear multifragmentation. The correct treatment of Phase Separation after 150 years of statistical mechanics a Abstract. Equilibrium statistics of finite Hamiltonian systems is fundamentally described by the microcanonical ensemble (ME) [1]. Canonical, or grand-canonical parti...
متن کاملGrand canonical ensemble in generalized thermostatistics
We study the grand-canonical ensemble with a fluctuating number of degrees of freedom in the context of generalized thermostatistics. Several choices of grand-canonical entropy functional are considered. The ideal gas is taken as an example.
متن کاملOn the maximum entropy principle in non-extensive thermostatistics
It is possible to derive the maximum entropy principle from thermodynamic stability requirements. Using as a starting point the equilibrium probability distribution, currently used in non-extensive thermostatistics, it turns out that the relevant entropy function is Rényi’s α-entropy, and not Tsallis’ entropy.
